Terms of service
These terms apply to your use of AngelCaptain, run by Solent Labs ("we"). By using the app, you agree to them.
The beta
AngelCaptain is free, invitation-only and in beta. You must be 18 or older to use it. It may have bugs or missing features. We may change or discontinue it, or remove your access, at any time. You can stop using it whenever you like.
Your data
Your portfolio stays in Google Drive, in your own sheets and in any that others share with you. Your sheets belong to you, and shared sheets belong to whoever shared them. You're responsible for your Google account and the data you enter. The app sends error reports and counts how it's used: sign-ins, days of use and which kinds of screen are opened, with your country and state and your browser and device type. None of it includes your portfolio. Our privacy policy explains how we handle data.
Not financial advice
AngelCaptain is a record-keeping tool. Nothing in it is investment, tax or legal advice, and we are not a registered investment adviser, broker-dealer, tax preparer or law firm. Returns, tax-related checks and reference information are estimates, may be out of date, and may not apply to your situation. Confirm anything important with a qualified professional.
Third-party services
The app relies on Google, links to outside sources, and may let you connect other services with your own account. Those services have their own terms, and we aren't responsible for them.
Acceptable use
Don't use the app to break the law, access data that isn't yours, or disrupt the service. Report security issues to angelcaptain@solentlabs.io.
No warranty
The app is provided "as is," without warranties of any kind. Keep backups of anything important.
Limitation of liability
To the extent the law allows, we aren't liable for indirect or consequential losses, or for decisions you make using the app, and our total liability for any claim is limited to $100. Some jurisdictions don't allow these limits, so they may not apply to you.
Ownership and feedback
We own the app and its design. If you send us suggestions, we may use them without any obligation to you.
Changes
We may update these terms. For material changes, we'll tell invited users in the app or by email before they take effect, and we'll change the date above. If you keep using the app after that, you accept the updated terms.
General
If any part of these terms is unenforceable, the rest still applies. Not enforcing a term doesn't waive it. These terms and the privacy policy are the entire agreement between you and us.
